Elaine Penwell takes paper cutting to the highest art form. Her intricate designs are breathtaking in detail and amazingly creative. Elaine takes inspiration from fabric prints, Japanese wood block prints, nature and animals, 1800's women's fashion and old illustrations. I find myself happily lost in the intricacy of each piece and appreciate the labor of love each one must require to produce. Talk about patience!
